Overview

The Jewellery Quarter is an area of Birmingham, UK, with a rich industrial heritage and the birthplace of many pioneering advancements in technology. The industries it was built on declined throughout the 20th century, and it’s now a vibrant place to work and live.

The Townscape Heritage project is a three-year regeneration scheme funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. It aims to regenerate an area within the Jewellery Quarter’s ‘industrial middle’ through the repair and restoration of historic buildings and the delivery of events and activities for all.

Having lived and worked in the Jewellery Quarter for many years, I was thrilled to be part of the team and work with the team to design and build a website for the project, highlighting all the events & activities, resources & information, a people’s archive, and the accomplishments of the project.

Thanks to everyone involved

Kate and the rest of the JQ team
